TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS
Grades 3-12
(updated Fall 2020)
All students in grades 3-12 are required to bring their own devices to school. This device must be a Chromebook, Windows, or Apple (Mac) laptop. Due to the changes in technology and the need to do remote learning, all devices must have an attached keyboard and wirelessly connect to the internet.
-
Earbuds are required. The buds are not to be 'headphones' that cover the ears.
-
Please make sure that your child tries the buds for size and clarity.
- protective cover/case for laptops
- 2 chargers: one for school and one for home
Aquin will continue to provide devices for students in Preschool-Grade 2. Students in Grades 3-12 will need to bring a device with them daily. If your student currently has a device that meets the criteria above, he or she is set.
If not, we recommend a Chromebook, Surface, or a laptop from a reputable manufacturer (Samsung, Dell, etc.). These are devices that students are currently using with success in the classroom.
Starting in the 2021-22 school year, Aquin is partnering with Impero Software to actively monitor student use of technology devices. Students will be required to load the Impero software onto the device for monitoring during school hours. This software allows teachers to see what is on the screen of the students during class and also monitors for violations of the acceptable use policies. By agreeing to our BYOD Policy, you are agreeing to have this software installed on your device.
