Aquin Catholic Schools the little schools that can

Welcome!

We are excited to kick off our second year of Support Our Schools, or S.O.S. League. For those of you new to the system, or those that need a refresher, S.O.S League is comprised of Team Divisions. Contributing teams, or events, are divided into Major Teams, Minor Teams and Special Teams. Online tracking of each team’s expectations and the benefiting group will be posted monthly under S.O.S. League.

As we did last year, we are giving each family a packet of S.O.S. League materials. Please keep this information to refer to throughout the year. It is posted below with pdf forms for your convenience. Included in this packet are:

∙ Listing of the Teams of the S.O.S. League
∙ Listing of the Aquin Catholic Schools Budget Departments
∙ Quick calendar of events
∙ S.O.S. League Request Form which must be filed with the Office of Marketing,
Development and Alumni Relations before any new team is added to the League
∙ S.O.S. League Agreement which must be signed and returned to the Office of Marketing, Development and Alumni Relations by September 5, 2008

Our first Major Team of the school year is our ‘Second Annual Walking of the Dawgs’ and the all new ‘Colby Smith Memorial 4 Mile Classic’. Both events will be held on Saturday, September 27 and publicly identify us as a complete educational system, from PreSchool through 12th Grade. Similar in spirit to the ‘Relay for Life’, the ‘Walking of the Dawgs’ relies on teams of alumni, parents, students, staff and bulldog fans for its success. Participants will walk from the PreSchool Campus (St. Thomas) to the Elementary Campus (St. Joseph) to the Junior-Senior High Campus (Conley Football Field) or any distance in between. The ‘Colby Smith Memorial 4 Mile Classic’ has been added through the Smith family. We thank them for all of their dedication toward making this race a reality. The race will follow a similar path as the walk and we look to both activities as wonderful promotional and community events and look for your support to make them successful. Entry forms for both events are attached to this packet and can be found on the tabs on this page.

We look to your participation and support as we continue on this adventure for our system. Please give us your thoughts and suggestions as we continue to make the S.O.S. League the best it can be. We are all part of Aquin Catholic Schools and the development of future generations of Bulldogs.

Thanks and best wishes for the 2008-2009 School Year,
