Objective of class:
Students will gain confidence and proficiency in preparing and presenting speeches of varying types including informative, persuasive, demonstrative, special occasion, debate, oral interpretation, theater, radio and television.

Expectations:
Grading will include worksheets, quizzes, and tests on text material but the majority of points will be earned from speaking. Students should demonstrate adequate preparation for the type of speech and proper delivery techniques (eye contact, voice control, assigned time length, etc.)

All assignments must be complete by the given deadline for full credit. Assignments and grades will be posted on Teacherease each week. As in any performance class, effort and attitude are crucial for success.
