‘Once Upon Aquin’ is the theme for Homecoming Week 2011 to be held September 25-October 1.  The week will culminate with our big fall event--DawgFest 2011!  This year's event will be held on Saturday, October 1 and will see some changes and additions.  Here is a list of the activities.

PPK
The date and time for the NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition are set--Saturday, October 1 starting at 11:00am.  There is a 5-6th football game at 9:00 that morning so come on out and enjoy our youth in action.

Dedication Ceremony
The Dedication Ceremony will be held this weekend.  Time and date are still pending.

Casino Night
We will be hosting ‘Casino Night’ from 7:00-11:00pm in the Aquin gymnasium.  Fifteen tables including blackjack, poker, roulette and craps will be available.   Also that evening a catered buffet of appetizers will be in the cafeteria, a cash bar will be in the gym as well as a Silent Auction.

If you have a business and would want to be a sponsor
click here for a link to the letter and the form.  If you know of someone who has a business who would want to be a sponsor, please forward this information to them in case we missed them in our mailing.   It is also linked on our website, click here.

Silent Auction
For those who aren’t gamblers, we will also be hosting a Silent Auction during Casino Night.  We are asking that each grade--Preschool through 12th--create a basket for the auction.  The Faculty and Staff will also be joining in the fun and creating a basket as well.  We’ve come up with proposed themes--in accordance with the Homecoming theme--and have listed them here.

In conclusion . . .
DawgFest 2011 is budgeted to bring in $30,000.  These funds go directly to the Education Fund--books, desks, paper, etc.  We are not asking for the pledges as we have the past 3 years.  We are asking for your participation in and promotion of this event.  Invite your family, your friends, your neighbors and your former classmates to come to Aquin for an evening of fun and support of a system we all believe in.  Tickets for Casino Night will be sold in advance and at the door and available for Casino Only and Casino with Buffet.  If you volunteered via the emailed  volunteer forms this summer, I will be getting in touch with you soon and I apologize for not getting in touch with you sooner.  This summer went by WAY too fast!
