READING-Harcourt - Mrs. Feiner

• Two reading texts; one story per week; different genres; vocabulary worksheets, transparencies, and binders; literary elements;vocabulary/comprehension test at the end of the week

• Sign-o-gram – Front cover of reading book

• Reading logs – Handed out Friday; due following Friday; required reading – 5/7 days for 20 minutes; extra credit for other days; title of book, pages read, minutes read; may use weekly reading story and Scholastic News.

• Pizza Hut Book-It program

ENGLISH-Harcourt - Mrs. Feiner

• Language handbook, transparencies, and workbook pages

• Different styles of writing, sentences, nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs

• Daily Oral Language (DOL) , journal writing, “sticker stories”, etc.
